

The type of supplies you can find there appear as icons in the site description (see image below). Open your map screen and highlight a particular site.

To help your search, each site you’ve seen (either close up or by surveying from a high point) shows the kind of resources you’re likely to find. Usually, you’ll gather these supplies by scavenging whatever’s been left behind at the various buildings around town. The resource you’ll need most often for facility management is materials, but facility actions and upgrades could also require meds, parts, or many other kinds of supplies.

There are enclave names that usually hostile ones get.Facility construction, actions, and upgrades all require supplies. The corpses of hostile survivors may be searched in order to obtain some of the equipment they were using, healing and restorative items, or even luxury items which can be sold for influence. If not killed with a headshot, deceased survivors will rise again as zombies and must be put down again. When fighting hostile survivors, it is best to forego melee combat in favor of ranged weapons. Once a survivor or enclave becomes hostile towards you, there is no going back they will remain hostile until killed. Additionally, enclaves can turn hostile if you threaten them or if you ignore their requests for help. You may also encounter hostile survivors during missions. Though most survivors tend to be peaceful, some enclaves will spawn hostile and will attack you on sight. It might include incorrect or outdated information, or just needs a facelift.
